In a daring rescue, an Australian snake catcher, Olivia Dykstra of Snake Catcher Tasmania, came to the aid of a venomous lowland copperhead snake that found itself in a perilous situation with its head stuck in the opening of a Rockstar energy drink can. The incident has prompted a reminder to residents to crush drink cans before disposing of them to prevent similar wildlife entanglements. Dykstra shared the gripping rescue mission on Facebook, accompanied by photos capturing the snake's predicament and the subsequent successful liberation. Copperheads, known for their venomous nature, have small heads and scales that only move in one direction, making it challenging for them to retreat once entangled. "Copperheads have tiny heads and their scales only go one way so they can't back out," Dykstra explained in a comment under the post. Despite the snake's potentially dangerous disposition, the experienced snake catcher was able to free it from the can without causing any serious injuries.
