Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx is facing a lawsuit alleging sexual assault in connection with an incident that reportedly occurred in August 2015 at Catch NYC & Roof, a popular New York City restaurant. According to the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, the plaintiff, an unnamed woman, and her friend approached Foxx for a photo, which he allegedly agreed to. The woman claims that Foxx, appearing intoxicated, later made inappropriate comments about her appearance and proceeded to touch her inappropriately in a secluded area of the rooftop. The woman asserts that the actor touched her breasts, slid his hands into her pants, and engaged in explicit contact, all witnessed by several people, including security guards, who purportedly did not intervene. The lawsuit seeks compensatory and punitive damages, citing the need for medical treatment and emotional distress resulting from the alleged assault. The legal action is made possible by New York's Adult Survivors Act, allowing victims of sexual offenses, even beyond the statute of limitations, to file civil suits. The Act is set to expire on November 24.
